All functions in one pair of pliers: gripping, bending, cutting, insulating, crimping

For work on the control cabinet, in the flush mounted socket, in the automotive sector

The Knipex 13 01 160 electricians’ pliers can be used for a range of applications. They are a valuable aid during installation work on the control cabinet and during wiring on flush mounted sockets. They are also useful when working on motor vehicles, for example if the electrics need retrofitting, repairing or modifying on a camper van. As a result of all of these potential applications, these pliers are a universal tool for professional use.

Gripping and bending

Using the electricians’ pliers as gripping needle nose pliers gives you an accurate tool for bending wire and shaping single conductors to achieve a functionally correct and technically pleasing installation. Single conductors can be shaped and conveniently inserted in terminals, for example, and wire can be bent and held.

Cutting, stripping and crimping

These electricians’ pliers can also be used as diagonal cutters, wire strippers and crimping pliers, because all elements needed for these applications are integrated in them. With the precision cutting edges that are additionally hardened to approx. 60 HRC, it is possible to cut soft wire (copper), medium-hard wire (nails) and hard wire (wire rope). Three precision wire stripping holes enable the stripping of single conductors of between 0.5 mm² and 2.5 mm². The gripping side of the pliers hinge also permits the crimping of end sleeves (ferrules) on flexible single conductors of 0.5 to 2.5 mm².
